  • These are both families of dermal fillers, but from different makers! Restylane is a part of the Galderma family (makers of Dysport) and Juvederm is from Allergan (makers of Botox).

  • Most dermal fillers contain lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to minimize discomfort. Patients may feel a slight pinch or pressure during the injections. If you’re nervous about needles, our injectors at Amy Aesthetics and Wellness have tricks up our sleeves to minimize that discomfort and distract you!

  • There is minimal to no downtime. Some patients may experience mild swelling or bruising, but it usually resolves within a few days. We also sell Alastin INhance, which cuts down on your bruising time. It’s available in our office or in our online shop.

  • Some hyaluronic acid fillers can be partially or fully reversed using an enzyme called hyaluronidase.

  • When administered by a qualified professional, dermal fillers are generally safe. They have been extensively studied and approved by regulatory authorities.

  • Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements, alcohol, and inform your provider about any medications or medical conditions. Follow any specific pre-treatment instructions provided.
